http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuBo4E77ZXoThat video is a short clip from a longer movie called
Zeitgeist. You think that 9 minutes was scary? You should see what the producers packed into 2 hours......
The movie is a bit flawed.
[ understatement ] For example, the Paul Warburg who was quoted in the video? He died 18 years before the alleged speech from which he is "quoted". That must have been an interesting speech.
- If "Warburg" sounds like "Warbucks" (as in Little Orphan Annie's "Daddy Warbucks") - there's a good reason: the Daddy Warbucks character was based on Paul Warburg .
- The parts about Warbucks - I mean Warburg's - involvement in the Federal Reserve System and the Council on Foreign Relations are true
The Federal Reserve System - designed and promoted by Daddy Warburg - has not proven to be the end of life as we know it in the USA. In fact,
- "the Fed" has been a major factor in stabilizing our economy since World War II
- Those low-interest mortgages you're enjoying? Thank the Fed.
- Very few bank failures since the Depression? That's the Fed's doing, also.
How bad is the CFR? You tell me:
On its current Board of Directors are such stalwart Republicans as
- Kenneth Duberstein (Ronald Reagan's White House Chief of Staff)
- Martin Feldstein (chief economic advisor to President Ronald Reagan)
- Stephen Friedman (currently Chairman of the United States President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board)
- Maurice R. Greenberg (on the Board of Directors of the New York Stock Exchange and nominated by Reagan to be Deputy Director of the CIA)
- Karen Elliott House (former Publisher and President of the Wall Street Journal and President of Dow Jones International)
- Henry Kravis (supporter and fundraiser for President George W. Bush and John McCain. He was a major contributor to the 1992 re-election campaign of President George H. W. Bush)
- Michael H. Moskow (In Nixon and Ford administrations, he held a number of senior positions with the U.S. government, including under secretary of labor at the U.S. Department of Labor, director of the Council on Wage and Price Stability, assistant secretary for policy development and research at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and senior staff economist with the Council of Economic Advisers)
- David Rubenstein (co-founder of The Carlyle Group, whose investors, advisors, and directors include President George H. W. Bush, Bush family confidant James A. Baker, the Saud Royal Family, and the Saudi Binladen group - relatives of Osama Bin Laden)
- John Vincent Weber (former Congressman from Minnesota and Plains States Regional Chairman for the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign)
- Colin Powell (I've heard of him....)
- Christine Todd Whitman (OK. she's a Liberal Loonie who told the Bush Administration that the Environmental Protection Agency is supposed to protect the environment and that science is supposed to come from scientists, not political advisors in the White House - so she quit)
Among its current members are a bunch of commie-pinko-fag-junkies like
- John Abizaid
- L. Paul Bremer
- Bill Brock (former Republican United States Senator from Tennessee)
- Dick Cheney
- Al D'Amato
- Lawrence Eagleburger ( former United States Secretary of State under George H. W. Bush)
- Thomas Friedman (conservative journalist, The New York Times)
- Robert Gates (Secretary of Defense, former Director of Central Intelligence)
- Newt Gingrich
- Alan Greenspan (former Chairman of the Federal Reserve)
- Chuck Hagel
- Lee Hamilton
- Robert Kagan (cofounded Project for the New American Century - neocon central)
- Irving Kristol (founder of American neoconservatism, Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute)
- Lewis Libby
- Joseph Lieberman
- John McCain
- George Mitchell
- John Negroponte (Deputy Secretary of State, former Director of National Intelligence, former U.S. ambassador to Honduras)
- Stanley O'Neal (Former Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Merrill Lynch)
- Henry Paulson (Treasury Secretary)
- Norman Podhoretz (former editor-in-chief of "Commentary", senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, Project for the New American Century signatory)
- Steve Poizner (Republican politician from California)
- Colin Powell
- Condoleezza Rice
- Charles Robb (Republican Senator)
- Brent Scowcroft (United States National Security Advisor under Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush)
- George P. Shultz (former United States Secretary of State, former United States Secretary of the Treasury, former Secretary of Labor)
- Ron Silver (actor, director, producer, cofounded the organization One Jerusalem)
- Fred Thompson (Actor, former Senator from Tennessee, Presidential candidate)
- John Warner (Republican Senator)
- John C. Whitehead (chairman of the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, former United States Deputy Secretary of State under Ronald Reagan, former Goldman Sachs chairman)
- Paul Wolfowitz (former president of the World Bank Group, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense)
- R. James Woolsey, Jr. (former Director of Central Intelligence and former head of the CIA)
- Henry Kissenger
- and a cast of hundreds more, including some prominent evil-doers like heads of major corporations and even some - horror of horrors - Democrats. It's comforting to know that the CFR is non-partisan in its efforts to screw over the world.
The CFR's track record is a bit spotty...
- The CFR thought that Ho Chi Mihn wasn't such a bad guy, and that he would become a US ally once France was gone from Indo-China
- The CFR orchestrated the admission to the USA of the deposed Shan of Iran. That incident is what precipitated the riots in Iran in 1979 -the riots that resulted in the taking of US hostages
Trust me on this, there are hundreds more events that worked out very well for people richer and more powerful than you & I....
Consider the irony that when I say that the danger to America is not from outside forces, but rather from within, people assume that I'm a Liberal who hates Republicans and wants to cut-and-run so that YOU will be fighting terrorists in the cereal aisle at Safeway?
Then along comes this movie, talking about the secrets of
- 9-11
- a phony "War on Terror"
- never-ending "wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan
- "searching" in caves for guys who aren't there
- Federal ID cards with RFID chips......
